In the A380!

« on: February 05, 2010, 08:27:30 »

Hi all,

Yesterday we had another successful and enjoyable flight. Well done to our ATCs, the veteran Chris and David who though relatively new, knows his job very well. The GR division treated us to a fully staffed ATC which made our flight complete. Unfortunately one of our pilots had a system crash during the flight, which let’s face it is quite dreadful during such events. We wish our member better luck next time. We will try to keep our appointment and next Thursday we will do some pending ATC exams. This will consist of return flights to/from LICC and local vfr traffic. Flights will leave from LMML and LICC while some others will perform local VFR flights including circuits. This will have to involve quite a good number of aircraft. Please check often this page for the latest news and updates or for any comments you may wish to add.

I perfectly agree well done ALL but as Roland mentioned a special mention must be give to our new Tower Controller David Grech - well done man. Thanks also to Chris Ebejer.
'' Wouldn't be lovely'' as the song says if we have one of these nights (just a suggestion)  and will make it a special night like the old days when all the a/c will be flying the AIR MALTA colours.

WELL DONE ALL GOOD TURN OUT Smiley

Who is interested in doing his exam next Thursday, kindly inform Training Coordinator so we can plan the exams accordingly. We need traffic on the day otherwise the exams cannot be validated.

Yeah, I was pretty mad when my flight sim crashed yesterday, but after I managed to start again from Malta and go to Athens with a Typhoon Smiley. Next Thursday you can count me in for local VFR circuits, if I don't make the aerodrome exam that day.

Hi Guys - something I have just found out with the above scenery and I believe use to do it with the previous one (may be 2006)  if you are flying in on to 26 when and  you have the Flight Simulator Realism Setting on hard it crashes against an object.
So my advice is put your Flght Simulator realism on medium and you're OK.
N.B. Someone please should check into this and double check my findings.

Better luck next time Kurt... though i must say that I'm not surprised, given the fact that the last time you controlled was... errrr... 2 years ago??  Undecided  A lesson for everyone to learn...
