The Trans-Mediterranean Pipeline (TransMed; also Enrico Mattei gas pipeline)

It is a natural gas pipeline from Algeria via Tunisia to Sicily and thence to mainland Italy. An extension of the TransMed pipeline delivers Algerian gas to Slovenia.
The pipeline begins from the Hassi R'mel field in Algeria and runs 550 kilometres (340 mi) to Tunisian border. In Tunisia, pipeline runs for 370 kilometres (230 mi) to El Haouaria, in the Cap Bon region, after which it across the 155-kilometre (96 mi)-wide Channel of Sicily. It landfalls in Mazara del Vallo in Sicily.

Transmed Air Bridge : Follow The Gas Pipeline!

Traffic is welcome to fly this Pipeline route Northbound or Southbound. You can start from Trapani (LICT), make a stop at Tunis Carthage (DTTA) and then continue to Hassi R'mel (DAFH) or Ghardaia (DAUG).. We suggest you fly Turboprops (ATR,.. etc), however any other type of traffic (except Jumbo jets) is welcome..
A full ATC coverage will be ensured in all 4 airfields..

IMPORTANT :  Hassi R'mel (DAFH) is a very small airfield, so we suggest that you fly there only in small airplanes such as ATR or Beechcraft or similar. However is you wish to use a medium jet such as (B737 or A320) we suggest you fly into Ghardaia (DAUG) to avoid any inconvenience.

Pilots much choose one of the following routes depending on the type of the aircraft, the routes Alfa & Bravo are only restricted to small airplanes. We strongly recommend that pilot follow the exact same routes.
